Four advanced lead acid batteries, freeway speeds, 15 mile range, $13,000 in materials, and hundreds of hours of labor over several years, all done by the owner (right) with the help of the Oregon Electrical Vehicle Association. Personally I'd love to own one, but I don't think I'm up to doing it myself.
